Atlas Sells Unit to Ripplewood, Oak Hill for $3.8 Bln (Update1)
Oct. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Atlas Copco AB, the world's biggest maker of air compressors, agreed to sell its U.S.-based construction-gear rental unit to Ripplewood Holdings LLC and Oak Hill Capital Management LLC for 28 billion kronor ($3.8 billion) to concentrate on supplying equipment to the mining industry.

(RTTNews) - Friday morning, Atlas Copco AB (ATLKY.PK, ATLCF.PK, ATLKF.PK, ATLCY.PK) a provider of industrial productivity solutions, revealed an agreement to sell majority of its construction equipment rental business to private equity firms Ripplewood Holdings L.L.C. and Oak Hill Capital Management, LLC for SEK 28 billion or $3.8 billion in cash and securities.
